Mystery defect during a home inspection… what was it?

During a home inspection, I used my thermal camera to scan walls and suspicious areas… I noted that an unusual anomaly was visible…

Look at those “blue blobs” or dark areas in picture on left.

At first I thought “Ugh” there is water behind the walls, I then proceeded to place a laser marker on the “blue blobs” if you will, to distinguish if elevated moisture levels were present in the walls. There wasn’t! The moisture level was around 10% (well under concern) at the blobs and just under in areas free of anomaly. At first I was boggled, but then realized that adhesives (in addition to fasteners) had been used to attach drywall/gypsum.

As always, discern and confirm!
